In October 2011 Ross Beaton, (Logo Line’s founder) visited Bob Murray, (a family friend and the owner of Epicentre) in the Philippines to see the work Bob was doing helping families gain self sufficiency. Bob is semi retired and now lives in the Philippines.
Bob has always believed in long term solutions that remove people from poverty permanently, and to this end has embarked on almost 100 projects involving local people in the villages of Sua and Tumpa (pop 3,300), the Bicol region on the island of Luzon in the Philippines, and another village in the slums of Manila.

Among the completed and ongoing projects are interest free loans, rebuilding the village health centre, funding piggeries, introducing new farming methods, increasing yields, feeding children at school who don’t get breakfast or lunch, building new toilet blocks at the school, building a food cooking area at the school, providing education to children from Preschool to University, total renovation of Tumpa Primary School of 350 children, including roofs, windows, ceilings, introduced electricity, (lights and fans), dug a well for running water, canteen and now starting on a huge vegetable garden. Sponsoring 35 children of all ages with a guaranteed University Education, providing medical treatment to 100’s utilising a health specialist from Australia and many other things.
He gave us a wish list of projects he needed money for. Logo-Line has decided to divert funds we usually pay to send Christmas gifts to pay for providing nutritional daily school meals for around 350 children for the year 2012 as many of the children arrive at school having not eaten breakfast and with no lunch.
